Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav was celebrated in a befitting manner at Ramakrishna Mission, Srinagar. Competitions for singing, dancing, elocution and speech for school students were organized at Kashmiri Pandit Colony, Sheikpora, District Budgam on 15th August 2022 to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and celebrate the 76th Independence Day.
The competition was divided into 4 categories as under :
- 3rd to 5th Standard: Dance Competition
- 6th to 8th Standard: Patriotic Songs Competition
- 9th and 10th Standard: Elocution Competition
- 11th and 12th Standard: Speech Competition
A total of 152 students (for all the groups) participated in the above competitions. Awards for the first three positions were distributed on the spot.
A crowd of more than 250 people, including parents, students’ relatives, and other colony residents, filled the Sheikhpora colony’s hall. This was the first time the centre has organised such a programme. The program was highly appreciated by everyone.
