Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru has launched a new project “Haccha Hasira Mysuru Vivekaprabheya Mysuru (Green Mysuru)” under which 25,000 saplings, Vivekaprabha magazine and Spoorti – book on life and teachings of Holy Trio are distributed freely to the public in and around Mysuru. A family open book written quiz is conducted based on this book.
The project had an inaugural function on September 26, 2020. Sri S T Somashekhar, District-in-charge Minister, Sri Pratapsimha, MP, Sri Nagendra, MLA, Sri Vasu, ex MLA, Dr Vinay Kumar, EMPRI Fellow Member, (Environmental Management & Policy Research Institute), Dr Vasanth Kumar Thimakpur, Plant Pathologist, Sri Rajiv, President, Mysuru Urban Development Authority, Mysuru attended the function.
COVID Norms were followed during the function and limited no of invitees attended the function.
There is an overflowing response for this project from the people of Mysore. In the past 7 days about 2383 people have taken 14,000 saplings and Vivekaprabha magazine (one each), Spoorthi book (one each).
