Ramakrishna Mission, Bagerhat, Bangladesh, conducted significant distress relief activities across two districts, Pirojpur and Bagerhat, on the occasion of Durga Puja 2025. These efforts, spanning September 27th, and October 1st and 2nd, 2025, focused on supporting needy communities with essential garments.
1. Relief Work in Pirojpur District
On September 27, 2025, the Mission collaborated with the Vivekananda Shiksha & Sanskriti Parishad, Pirojpur, to distribute clothing in the Nazirpur area of Pirojpur. The distribution targeted marginalized community members, including cobblers, sweepers, cremators, fishermen, and boatmen residing within the Dakatia and Durgapur Union areas. A total of 80 garments were distributed, consisting of 65 sarees and 15 dhutis.
2. Relief Work in Bagerhat District
Relief efforts continued in the Bagerhat district on October 1 and 2, 2025. For this phase, the Bagerhat Ramakrishna Mission partnered with the Vivekananda Study & Philanthropic Center of New York, USA. The distribution took place at the Ramakrishna Ashrama Premises on P. C. College Road, Bagerhat. The primary beneficiaries included cobblers, sweepers, cremators, fishermen, and boatmen. A total of 160 sarees were distributed over the two days.
