Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Ashrama, Raipur, distributed educational support materials to needy school children in July and September 2025 as part of its relief work.
On 14 July 2025 and 1 September 2025, a total of 500 school kits were distributed in 22 government schools (18 primary and 4 middle) covering 17 villages in Kasdol block of Balodabazar district and Mainpur block of Gariyaband district, Chhattisgarh.
Each kit consisted of a school bag, 4 notebooks, pen, pencil, eraser, sharpener, and scale. In all, 500 students (246 boys and 254 girls) benefited from this initiative.
In addition, on 1 September 2025, a separate distribution was conducted in 13 government schools (10 primary and 3 middle) of 11 villages in Mainpur block, Gariyaband district. Here, 260 students (121 boys and 139 girls) received the same educational support kits, bringing the total beneficiaries across both phases to 760 children.
The relief effort was carried out by Swami Prapattyananda, assisted by a dedicated team of volunteers and supported by teachers in the respective schools. The initiative brought much-needed encouragement and resources to students from underprivileged backgrounds, enabling them to continue their studies with dignity and hope.
