Sapling plantation “Hariyali Mahotsav” was organized by Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama (Sharada Balgram), Gwalior, in presence of His Excellency, Governor of Haryana Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, on 2 August 2017. 1100 saplings were planted.
On the same day “Maharshi Charak Udhyan” Bhumi Pujan was also performed.
On this occasion Shri Jayabhan Singh Pawaiya (Minister of Higher Education, M.P.), Mrs. Maya Singh (Minister City Development), Hon’ble Mayor Shri Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar, Hon’ble Shri Niyaz Mahammad (President Minority Commission, M.P.) were also present. The program was presided over by Swami Raghavendrananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Gwalior.
Hon’ble Governor mentioned in his speech Swami Vivekananda’s idea of “Shiva Jnane Jiva Seva”, Serving Citizens is Serving the God, and said that Swami Vivekananda is the Shankaracharya of Modern India. He highly praised the various activities related to social, educational, health and efficiency upliftment of the society by Sharada Balgram.
Swami Supradiptananda, Principal, Ramakrishna Vidya Mandir, Gwalior, laid focus on highlighting the various activities being conducted in Sharada Balgram, such as Teachers Training, Health & Medical facilities, Maharshi Charak Herbal Garden, Zero-Till Farming, Vermy Compost, Jivamrit, Mushroom Plantation, Sewage Water Treatment Plant, Natural Cold Storage, and Agnihotra Homa Farming.
