Inauguration of Higher Secondary Course, Baranagar, June 2018

Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Baranagar, started the Higher Secondary course at the High School, in commemoration of the 125th Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s historic speech in the World Parliament of Religions at Chicago. Swami Suvirananda, General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, inaugurated the course in a programme at the Ashrama premises on 22 June 2018 evening. Dr. Mahua Das, President, West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, Kolkata, was the Guest-in-Chief. Prof. Sougata Ray, Member of Parliament, was the Guset-of-Honour. Sri Dipankar Roy, District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Barrackpore, North 24 Paraganas, was the Special Guest. On this occasion a special puja was performed on 24 June 2018.

A seminar on education was also arranged on 26 June 2018 morning. The topic was “The role of moral and spiritual values in education.” Swami Vishwanathananda (Ramakrishna Mission Home of Service, Varanasi) was the President of the seminar. Swami Ritananda (Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Home of Service, Varanasi) was the Guest-in-Chief. Swami Sukhananda (Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Patna) was the Guest-of-Honour. Swami Shastrajnananda (Principal, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, Belur Math) was the Special Guest.
