In a proactive step toward fostering civic responsibility, Ramakrishna Mission, Viveknagar, Agartala, inaugurated two significant facilities on its campus on 11 March 2026: a “Two-Wheeler Parking Circle” and a “Road Safety Awareness Club.” These initiatives were officially launched by the Circle Motor Vehicle Inspector of the Tripura Transport Department.
Focus on Awareness
The establishment of the Road Safety Awareness Club represents a special initiative by the Mission to prioritize the safety and well-being of its students and the community. The primary objectives include:
- Educational Outreach: Students of the Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya and the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) will gain direct access to essential knowledge regarding road safety measures and traffic regulations.
- Collaborative Learning: The club is set to organize seminars, workshops, and various competitions in close collaboration with the State Transport Department of Tripura.
Impact and Significance
By integrating road safety education into the campus environment, the Mission aims to instill lifelong safe driving habits and awareness in young learners. The newly inaugurated Parking Circle will further ensure organized and safe vehicle management within the premises.
