Inauguration of New Building : Kathamrita Bhavan, October 2023


The newly constructed three storied building at 12 Guru Prasad Chowdhury Lane, Kolkata, was inaugurated by Revered Srimat Swami Suhitanandaji Maharaj, Vice President, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, on 28th October 2023, the auspicious day of Sri Sri Laxmi Puja, at 9 AM. 

Revered Maharaj installed the photos of Sri Sri Thakur, Sri Sri Maa, Swamiji Maharaj and Master Mahashay (Sri M) on their respective wooden thrones in the prayer hall. The photos from old shrine (Premise:  14 Guru Prasad Chowdhury Lane) were  carried by Srimat Swami Vimalatmanandaji Maharaj (Sri Sri Thakur), Srimat Swami Satyeshanandaji Maharaj (Sri Sri Maa), Swami Suparnanadaji Maharaj (Swamiji Maharaj), Swami Siddheshanandaji Maharaj (Master Mahashay Sri M) and Swami Shaktipadanandaji Maharaj (Mangal Kalash) in a little procession participated by around one hundred  monks, brahmacharins and many devotees.

Srimat Swami Tattwavidanandaji Maharaj, Assistant Secretary, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, performed the puja in the newly constructed prayer hall. He was assisted by Swami Shridananda. 

Revered Swami Suviranandaji Maharaj, the General Secretary of Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, laid down the Foundation Stone of the Building last year, on 9th October 2022, the auspicious day of Sri Sri Laxmi Puja.

A Dharma Sabha (public meeting) was conducted at 10:30 AM on that day.

After the Dharma Sabha, Sadhu Seva, Bhakta Seva and Daridra-Narayan Seva was done, where 175 monks, 625 devotees and volunteers, and 700 underprivileged  people partook prasad.
