The Vedantist gives no other attributes to God except these three — that He is Infinite Existence, Infinite Knowledge, and Infinite Bliss, and he regards these three as One. Existence without knowledge and love cannot be; knowledge without love and love without knowledge cannot be. What we want is the harmony of Existence, Knowledge, and Bliss Infinite. For that is our goal. We want harmony, not one-sided development. And it is possible to have the intellect of a Shankara with the heart of a Buddha. I hope we shall all struggle to attain to that blessed combination.

বেদান্তবাদী বলেন, সেই অনন্ত সত্তার সঙ্গে এক হওয়াই একমাত্র ধর্ম; আর তিনি ভগবানের এই তিনটি গুনের কথাই বলেন—অনন্ত সত্তা ,অনন্ত জ্ঞান ও অনন্ত আনন্দ;আর বলেন ,এই তিনই এক।জ্ঞান ও আনন্দ ব্যতীত সত্তা কখন থাকিতে পরে না। আনন্দ বা প্রেম ব্যতীত জ্ঞান এবং জ্ঞান ব্যতীত আনন্দ বা প্রেম থাকিতে পারে না। আমরা চাই এই সম্মিলন—এই অনন্ত সত্তা জ্ঞান ও আনন্দের চরম উন্নতি—একদেশী উন্নতি নহে। আমরা চাই—সকল বিষয়ের সমভাবে উন্নতি। শঙ্করের মেধার সহিত বুদ্ধের হৃদয় লাভ করা সম্ভব। আশা করি, আমরা সকলেই সেই এক লক্ষে পৌঁছিতে প্রানপণে চেষ্টা করিব।
