Medical Services Report: Digboi, Januray 2026

Ramakrishna Mission, Digboi

Ramakrishna Mission, Digboi conducted several medical service activities for the benefit of the local people during January and February 2026.


1. Free Allopathy Medical Camps – January 2026

Two free medical camps were held on 11 January and 18 January 2026, supervised by Dr. Arindam Ganguly.

  • 11 January: 31 patients (Male 14, Female 17)
  • 18 January: 30 patients (Male 14, Female 16)

Free medicines were provided to all. The Ashrama has tied up with a local clinic to provide tests at a minimal cost.


2. Routine Immunization Camp

A free immunization camp was held on 25 January 2026 in collaboration with Digboi CHC.

  • Pregnant women: 3
  • Children and youth (up to 16 years): 15

3. Homeopathy Medical Camps – February 2026

Homeopathy camps were held on 31 January and 1 February 2026, supervised by Dr. Ashis Kumar Kundu Nelli.

  • 1 February: 10 patients (Male 3, Female 7)

Homeopathy services will now be conducted regularly on the first Sunday of every month.


4. Cataract Detection Camp – January 2026

A cataract detection camp under NPCB&VI and DBCS, Tinsukia was held on 24 January 2026.

  • Enrolled: 27
  • Checked: 22
  • Selected: 20
  • Sent for surgery: 20
  • Operated: 15 (Male 11, Female 4)

Screened patients were taken to Lion KK Saharia Eye Hospital, Dibrugarh, for free cataract surgery and brought back after completion.


Conclusion

Ramakrishna Mission, Digboi continues to provide valuable medical support to the local community through regular free health camps and immunization services.
