The National Youth Day was celebrated by Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Karimganj, on 12 January 2020 by way of a colourful procession through a prominent street of the town. In the procession, there were seven tableaus of Sri Thakur, Sri Ma and Swami Vivekananda. Different schools, colleges and other organisations participated in the procession, which started from the Ashrama after garlanding the statue of Swamiji in the Ashrama premises and the reciting Swadesh Mantra. Later other dignitaries of the Town garlanded the statue. While passing the procession the statue on the main road was also garlanded. Around 850 participants took part with individual banner. In the procession cultural programme along with few children dressed with ochre clothes imitation of Swamiji. The procession ended at Ashrama after four kilometres around and had refreshment packets for all participants.
Besides this, there were public addresses by Swami Prabhasananda and Swami Ramabhadrananda in three prominent location and explain the important significance of the National Youth Day.
