Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narainpur, Chhattisgarh, celebrated the National Youth Day and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, on 12 January 2022. The celebration started with colorful rally inside the Ashrama campus at 9 am. In which 1400 people participated including 1100 students staying in Hostel.
Students performed Yoga and Surya-Namaskar which was followed by speeches on Life and Teachings of Swami Vivekananda, and Swamiji’s contribution for Independence, by students and dignitaries, recitation, patriotic songs and song on Swamiji. Chief guest was Sri Kawasi Lakhma, Excise and Industries Minister – Govt. of Chhattisgarh, Sri Kedar Kashyap, Ex-Education Minister, Chhattisgarh, and Sri Chandan Kashyap, MLA, Narainpur District. Swami Vyaptananda, Secretary of the Ashrama, and Swami Krishnamritananda, Principal of the Vidyapith, also spoke on this occasion.
Cultural programme started in the evening where the following was performed :
i. Drama on life of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh
ii. Dance Drama on Freedom Fighters – आजादी के मतवाले
iii. Group dance on patriotic song and on Swamiji
iv. Group Song by students on Swamiji and patriotic song
v. Musical Orchestra by students
vi. Yoga Dance by Yoga Sports boys
vii. Mallakhamb Presentation by Mallakhamb Sports boys
viii. Gymnastics Presentation by Gymanstics sports boys
Rally, Speeches, Recitations and other Cultural programmes (group songs and group dances) conducted at the interior centres of Narainpur — Akabeda, Kundla, Irakbhatti, Kacchapal, Kutul and Orchha.
