Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Mumbai celebrated the National Youth Day at the Gateway of India (Apollo Bunder), Mahim Causeway (Mahim) and Vivekananda Auditorium of Ramakrishna Mission, Mumbai.
- At the Gateway of India, National Youth Day was celebrated by garlanding the statue of Swami Vivekananda. The 3 selected school students gave a speech on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. Around 100 people attended the function. Snacks were provided to all present members.Â
- At the Mahim Causeway, the bust of Swami Vivekananda was garlanded. The 2 selected school students gave a speech on the life & teachings of Swami Vivekananda. Around 50 people including school children attended the function. Snacks were provided to all present members.
The evening function of the National Youth day at Vivekananda Auditorium was attended by around 700 college students and some devotees. Swami Satyadevananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Mumbai welcomed the dignitaries.Â
The distinguished guests of the ceremony (a) Shri Abhay Bapat, Head, Vivekananda Kendra, Maharashtra Region; (b) Shri Uday Shinde (IA & AS), Internal Financial Adviser in Nuclear Recycle Board, BARC, Mumbai; (c) Shri Rakesh Puri, Member, Managing Committee, Ramakrishna Mission, Mumbai. They addressed the gathering on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
Some youths have also delivered speeches on Swamiji. Snacks were provided to all present.
