Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Society, Jamshedpur, celebrated National Youth Day on 12th January 2025 with a series of events commemorating the 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
Key Activities:
- Commemoration at Ashrama: The celebrations began with the ceremonial garlanding of Swami Vivekananda’s statue, followed by Vedic chanting, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
- School Celebrations: National Youth Day was celebrated in all 16 schools under the Society’s purview. Students organized vibrant processions, carrying placards with Swamiji’s inspiring messages and singing bhajans. Cultural programs were also held at each school, featuring bhajans, recitations of Swadesh Mantra and Swamiji’s poems, speeches, yoga demonstrations, and dance performances.
- Blood Donation Camp: A successful blood donation camp was organized in collaboration with the Jamshedpur Blood Bank. 121 volunteers, predominantly youth, participated in this noble initiative, demonstrating the spirit of selfless service.
- Winter Relief: 68 blankets were distributed to wandering monks on the Ashrama campus, providing them with warmth and comfort during the winter season.
