In the wake of the floods in some parts of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Tamil Nadu in November and December, the following centres carried out relief operations, details of which are given below:
Kadapa centre distributed 182 tarpaulins and 224 sets of utensils (each set containing three pots, three ladles, a hot water container, a wooden masher stick and a steel box) among 406 families in Kadapa district on 24 November and 17 December.
Tirupati centre distributed 1680 kg rice, 672 kg wheat flour, 672 kg red gram, 336 litres cooking oil, 168 kg tamarind, 84 kg dry chilli and 168 kg sugar among 336 families in and around Tirupati on 11 December.
Kochi centre distributed 100 mattresses, 25 gas stoves, 25 pressure cookers, 50 mixer grinders, 100 chairs, 100 stools, 100 tables and 3 tablet computers among 144 families in Kottayam, Idukki and Pathanamthitta districts from 24 November to 18 December.
Thanjavur centre served 32,000 plates of food to affected people in Thiruvarur, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam and Thanjavur districts from 30 November to 2 December.
Visakhapatnam centre distributed 2200 kg wheat flour, 2200 kg pulses, 2200 kg bengal gram, 2200 kg chickpeas, 2200 litres cooking oil, 2200 kg salt, 1100 kg tamarind, 44 kg assorted spices, 2200 kg sugar, 550 kg tea powder, 2200 bars of washing soap and 2200 bars of bathing soap among 2200 tribal families in Visakhapatnam district from 1 November to 10 December.
Rajkot centre distributed 20,000 N-95 face masks and 460 litres hand sanitizer among 12,000 students in Rajkot from 1 to 22 December.
Mumbai Corporation is running a free vaccination centre at our Mumbai branch; 7387 doses were administered between 26 November and 24 December.
RKMVERI, Belur, in cooperation with two other organizations conducted Covid vaccination drives at Belur, Narendrapur and Somsar from 21 September to 18 December in which 2108 people received the vaccination.
Fiji centre provided a bioanalyser and two cartons of laboratory reagents to a government hospital in Nadi on 19 November. The centre also distributed the following items among 300 families in and around Nadi from 1 November to 24 December: 5400 KN95 face masks, 200 eyeglasses, 10 litres hand sanitizer, 3 wheelie walkers, a mobility walker, 17 crutches, 2 hospital beds with mattresses, and 4 sewing machines.
Durban centre served 8120 plates of food and distributed 1262 kg rice, 866 kg flour, 512kg pulses, 812 kg assorted vegetables, 580 litres cooking oil, 651 kg sugar beans, 845 canned beans, 660 kg porridge, 400 kg samp, 191 kg salt, 34 kg assorted spices, 642 kg mealie meal, 340 kg pasta, 177 kg soya mince, 23 kg chilli bite mix, 5 kg semolina, 482 litres fruit juice, 851 packets of soup, 182 packets of biscuits, 412 loaves of bread, 440 cans of jam, 524 litres milk, 61,992 tea bags, 328 kg sugar, 339 matchboxes, 496 bars of washing soap, 617 bars of toilet soap, 624 candles, 167 tubes of toothpaste and 100 plastic buckets among 688 families in various parts of South Africa in November and December.
Phoenix centre, along with its sub-centre in Johannesburg, distributed 2640 kg rice, 525 kg maize meal, 320 kg wheat flour, 125 kg cereals, 1700 kg pulses, 2470 kg assorted vegetables, 25 kg soya mince, 55 kg noodles, 125 kg assorted spices, 360 kg salt, 1288 litres cooking oil, 614 cans of tinned food, 40 kg soup powder, 36,700 tea bags, 374 litres milk, 375 kg sugar, 6097 breakfast cereal sachets, 1835 packets of biscuits, 250 boxes of savoury snacks, 50 cakes, 600 kg assorted fruits, 500 matchboxes, 500 bars of soap, 250 tubes of toothpaste, 128 litres detergent and 660 adult napkins among 360 families in December. The centre also provided a litre of milk and a loaf of bread each to 22 families thrice a week, and LP gas cylinders to 14 families.
Assam: In response to a fire accident at Silchar city, Silchar centre provided 4 saris, 2 dhotis, 2 shirts, 2 trousers and a set of utensils (containing a tumbler, a saucepan, a cooking pot and a ladle) to the affected family on 21 October.

Sinthi (Beni Pal Udyan), Kolkata: 74 kg rice, 39 kg potatoes, 7 kg pulses, 8 kg gram, 7 litres cooking oil, 7 kg salt and 10 saris from 1 to 30 November.
Vrindaban: 1700 saris, 3400 bars of soap and 1700 pairs of socks on 26 December.
