Ramakrishna Math Provides Relief to Families Affected by Remal Cyclone
In two phases of relief efforts following the Remal cyclone, Ramakrishna Math distributed dry rations to a total of 2,000 families in Naora.
- First Phase (June 9th, 2024): 1,000 families received essential supplies including:
- 5 Kg Rice
- 1 Kg Wheat Flour (Atta)
- 1 Kg Pulses (Dal)
- 1 Liter Cooking Oil
- 2 Kg Potatoes
- 1 Kg Soybeans
- 400gm Biscuit Packet
- Second Phase (June 17th, 2024): Another 1,000 families received dry rations consisting of:
- 5 Kg Rice
- 1 Kg Dal
- 1 Liter Cooking Oil
- 2 Kg Potatoes
- 1 Kg Soybean
- 400gm Biscuit Packet
Ramakrishna Math, Naora stepped up to help families impacted by Cyclone Remal. They provided immediate assistance by distributing tarpaulins for temporary shelter.
- Block-Bhangore I of Kalugachi village and surrounding areas: 40 tarpaulins were distributed to residents whose homes sustained damage from the cyclone.
The Math’s efforts extended further, distributing tarpaulins and dry rations to various South 24 Parganas districts affected by Remal:
