A major fire broke out on Kaatu Nayakkan Street in Nagapattinam this April. 21 houses of people belonging to the scavenger community were affected. Sri Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur renovated 9 of the worst affected houses with GI sheets. The houses were handed over to the people on 02 June 2021.
