To mark the 125th Foundation year of Ramakrishna Mission and 125th year of Swamiji’s Return to India, our Jalpaiguri ashrama has organized Shashwata Bharata Ratha Yatra at various places of North Bengal, from 28 March 2023 to 6 April 2023, 12 – 18 April 2023 and on 25 and 26 April 2023 , total 19 days, covering a distance of 1428 kms. In this Ratha Yatra, many of programmes have been conducted with the cooperation of various Ashrama & Bhava-Prachara centres.
The Ratha Yatra covered 7 districts of West Bengal — Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, Uttar Dinajpur, Dakshin Dinajpur, Malda, Alipurduar, Cooch Behar.
Total 39 institutions and 6 other organizations involved, apart from 17 ashramas, in these districts.
11,811 youth and students, and 5250 devotees participated in the Ratha Yatra, and in the Youth Conventions and Devotees’ Conventions respectively, held in 38 cities / towns during the Ratha Yatra — Naxalbari, Batasi, Gangarampur, Malda, Balurghat, Buniadpur, Hasrail, Kaliagunj, Hemtabad, Tapan, Gopalgunj, Safanagar, Hilli, Ghoshpukur, Maynaguri, Dhupguri, Falakata, Gosairhat, Mathabhanga, Sitalkuchi, Sitai, Banarhat.
27 Youth Conventions and 14 Devotees’ Convention was arranged. Each participants received books, photos and posters of Swami Vivekananda and his teachings.
