State-level Cricket Tournament for the Visually impaired: Thanjavur

Visually impaired people also like to play like everyone else and be happy and active. Our compassion should be in finding and discovering the abilities of the alternatively abled people. Mere compassion does not capture them.

‘Arutperunjyothi Annadana Mission’, Chennai, in association with Ramakrishna Math, Thanjavur, launched a state-level cricket tournament for the visually impaired on 4.6.22 to give self-confidence to the disabled.

A total of 15 teams comprising 120 players took part in it. Dr. Padma and her team organized the event at the AVVM Sri Pushpam College campus in Poondi, Thanjavur district.
