To mark the occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary of Sister Nivedita, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Manasadwip has organized a day-long Teachers’ Convention on 18 June 2017, Sunday. All total 140 teachers of 26 Primary Schools, 17 High Schools and 11 Nursery Schools of Sagar Island have attended the convention.
The subject of discussion were ‘Nivediter Choke Swamijir Bharat’ and ‘Siksha Bhabna – Swamiji o Niveditar Aloke’.
Swami Shivapradananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Baranagar, Kolkata, preside over the Programme while Dr. (Prof.)Somnath Bhattacharya, Jadavpur University, Kolkata and Prof. Jiban Bandyopadhyay, Durgapur were the speakers. Besides, all the members of our Managing Committee and many students of classes IX & X of our High School and many students of Classes XI & XII of nearby schools have also attended the meeting. A Biographical Exhibition on the life and teaching of Sister Nivedita was put up on this occassion. Everybody was served with tiffin and lunch.
