On May 26, 2023, 5-day training on the use and maintenance of farm machinery was completed by Divyayan Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, Morabadi, Ranchi, in collaboration with Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Patna.
In the training, Course Coordinator E.O.P. Sharma gave detailed information about various equipment used in agriculture like seed drill, plowing equipment, plant protection equipment, paddy threshing equipment and drip irrigation.
Dr. Ajit Kumar Singh, Senior Scientist of the Institute, gave detailed information on techniques to incorporate latest agricultural equipments in agriculture adapted to the changing climate, selection of climate-friendly strains in paddy and other crops and to save the environment.
After training, 13 irrigation pumps and 10 battery operated sprayers were distributed free of cost to all the farmers under the tribal sub-scheme of Directorate of Rapeseed Mustard Research (DRMR).
27 farmers of Gutru village of Burmu block in the Ranchi Sadar subdivision of Ranchi district participated in the programme.
