Vivekananda Auditorium was inaugurated at Ramakrishna Mission Centre for Human Excellence and Social Sciences, New Town, Kolkata (Viveka Tirtha), on 16 May 2022, the auspicious Buddha Purnima day. Most Revered President Maharaj, Swami Smaranananda ji inaugurated the auditorium. Sri N. G. Subramaniam, Chief Operating Officer, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), was the Chief Guest. Sri Barindra Sanyal, Former Director, TCS Foundation, and Sri Ajoyendra Mukherjee, Director, TCS foundation, Mumbai, were the Guest of Honour.
The Vivekananda Auditorium is built to resemble the Art Institute in Chicago where Swami Vivekananda delivered his famous lectures at the World’s Parliament of Religions in 1893. It was built with the financial support of TCS Foundation.
