Webinar on The Message of Swami Vivekananda for the Modern Youth
The centre organized a Webinar on The Message of Swami Vivekananda for the Modern Youth on 23 August 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Revered Swami Gautamananda ji Maharaj (Vice-President of Ramakrishna Math & Mission) delivered the benedictory speech. World’s first female amputee to scale Mount Everest Padmashree Arunima Sinha and Indian youth icon, a globally renowned entrepreneur Shri Sharad Sagar also motivated the youngsters by their inspiring speeches in the webinar. About 550 persons from 15 states had registered for this webinar and about 1600 persons watched the programme live on the Facebook page of the Ashrama. Webinar on Interfaith Harmony for World Peace
As a part of the 127th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s participation in the World’s Parliament of Religions in 1893, in Chicago, USA the centre organized an international webinar jointly with the Parliament of the World’s Religions on 11 September 2020 from 7 to 10 pm. (IST) on Interfaith Harmony for world peace. Swami Suvirananda ji Maharaj, General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission sent video containing his benedictory speech on this occasion which was played during the webinar. 17 Eminent speakers of different faiths belonging to various countries delivered excellent speeches during the webinar. There was a presentation from the United Nations also. 852 persons from 23 countries registered for the zoom meeting out of which 552 joined the meeting. 1100 persons viewed the programme on Ashrama’s Facebook page live. On the occasion of the 153rd Birth Anniversary celebration of Sister Nivedita. The centre organized a National Level Webinar on The Relevance of Life & Teachings of Sister Nivedita on 28 October 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Three well-known speakers Padmashree Nivedita Bhide (Vice-President of Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari), Ms Jyotiben Thanki well-known writer and former advisor to the Children University, Gandhinagar, and Dr Omprakash Verma, Founder Secretary, Vivekananda Vidyapith, Raipur, Chhattisgarh delivered excellent speeches. About 758 persons had registered in this webinar and about 1200 persons watched the programme on Ashrama’s YouTube Channel. Video: https://youtu.be/f0HA4v_l7rA
