Ramakrishna Math, Barasat organized a youth convention on 14 August 2022, where 950 Youth Delegates of senior school and college students along with 100 Teachers, professors, tutors and volunteers participated. Swami Balabhadrananda ji Maharaj, Assistant General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math presided over the function. Swami Satyeshananda ji Maharaj, Assistant General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, Swami Devapriyananda ji, Belur Math and Dr Sabujkoli Sen, Principal, School of Languages, Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Golpark and former Vice-Chancellor, Visva Bharati University delivered talks on different subjects related to Swami Vivekananda’s influences on the Freedom Movement of Mother India.
The Youth delegates rendered speeches (2 in Bengali, 2 in English and 1 in Hindi) on different subjects related to Swami Vivekananda and the Indian Freedom Movement. The programme included a reading of the Swadesh Mantra, National Anthem, recitation and Patriotic songs. There was an interactive session – question answers and a cultural programme. All the participants were given books on Swami Vivekananda and beautiful Mementos of Swamiji were given to the guests and selected participants.
