Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Guwahati celebrated “125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” by organizing a Youth Convention at Sitajakhala High School, Amlighat, Dist. Morigaon in the afternoon of 26th August 2023 with active co-operation of Sri Ramakrishna Seva Samity, Borgaon.
The programme started with the lighting of lamp by Swami Atmashuddhananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Guwahati and opening song by the Students’ of Borgaon
GAP unit.
Swami Atmashuddhananda delivered a welcome address. Br. Devichaitanya; Sri Rajesh Maulik, Resource Person, Jagiroad, and Sri Sankar Das, Writer, Cultural and Social Worker, spoke on History and Activities of Ramakrishna Mission and also on Swami Vivekananda and his valuable contribution towards nation building. Sri Sandipan Purklayastha, Entrepreneur, Life Coach & Behavior Trainer delivered motivational speech for the youth.
Relevant Cultural Programmes comprising songs and dance were held during the peogramme by young students. 260 nos. of books “Mor Bharat Amar Bharat” in Assamese language were distributed among the students.
The programme ended with the National Anthem. The programme was attended by 260 students and about 30 guardians and local people of Amlighat.
