On July 23, 2024 a Youth Convention was successfully organized by the Value-Based Education Programme of Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Tamluk on July 22, 2024. The event brought together nearly 400 participants, including 290 students, 60 teachers, and 50 others from 25 schools and 4 colleges.
Swami Shrutisarananda, the Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Tamluk, extended a warm welcome to all attendees. The event was graced by Swami Jnanalokananda ji, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Swami Vivekananda’s Ancestral House and Cultural Centre, as the Chief Guest. Swami Achyuteshananda ji, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Narottamnagar, Arunachal Pradesh, also joined as a special guest. Dr. Narayan Ch. Maity, President of Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Tamluk, delivered the vote of thanks.
The convention featured cultural competitions divided into two groups: Group A for students of Classes X and XII, and Group B for college students. Participants showcased their talents in drawing, essay writing, and poem writing. All participants were presented with prizes, gifts, and a copy of the book ‘Life of Swami Vivekananda’.
