On November 4, 2025, a highly auspicious ceremony was held at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Taki, to inaugurate two newly constructed educational buildings. The date coincided with the sacred Tithipuja Day of Swami Vijnananandaji Maharaj, a direct disciple of Bhagwan Sri Ramakrishna Deva, adding immense spiritual significance to the event.
Inaugural Ceremony
The new structures were formally inaugurated by Srimat Swami Suvirananda ji Maharaj, General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math.
The inaugurated buildings include:
- The newly constructed three-storied Shivananda Students’ Home (Hostel).
- The newly constructed four-storied Taki Ramakrishna Mission Primary School.
This dual inauguration marks a major expansion of the Ashrama’s facilities, promising enhanced infrastructure for residential students and vastly improved learning spaces for young pupils.
Presidential Address and Spiritual Message
Following the formal inauguration, a gathering of devotees and monks assembled to hear the address of Revered Maharaj.
Srimat Swami Suvirananda ji Maharaj graced the audience with profound spiritual thoughts centered on the lives and teachings of Bhagwan Sri Ramakrishna Deva, Sri Ma Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda. Devotees listened with rapt attention, deeply moved and spellbound by the highly thought-provoking discourse.
Revered Maharaj also dedicated a significant part of his address to the noble ideals of Thakur, Maa, and Swamiji, specifically stressing the paramount importance of education and service for humanity. His words provided not only spiritual guidance but also reaffirmed the mission’s core philosophy underpinning the establishment of these new educational facilities.
The significant event was well-attended by a large number of monks of the Ramakrishna Order and devout devotees, who witnessed this milestone in the Ashrama’s history.
