Inauguration of the PET CT Scan facility : Vrindavan, July 2023


Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Vrindavan, has relentlessly been serving the poor and the needy for the past 115 years in the fields of health, education, widow welfare, child welfare etc. The core spirit being ‘Serving Man is Serving God’, as envisaged by Swami Vivekananda.

With the kind support of various individuals and institutions, the Sevshrama hospital has continuously been upgrading its facilities to provide all the latest technology. It aims at providing the best of the medical technology to the poorest of the poor, either free of charges or at concessional rates.

As an addition to this grand legacy, the Sevashrama hospital has newly added PET CT Scan facility in service of the poor and the needy. This is the only facility available in the surrounding eighteen districts apart from Mathura. Moreover, this is the first such facility among all the hospitals of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission. The new facility is a CSR initiative of Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited, Mumbai.

The new PET CT Scan facility was inaugurated on 26 July 2023 afternoon by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath ji in the presence of monks and other distinguished guests — Swami Tattwavidananda ji, Assistant General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math; Shri R. Vardharajan, Sr. EVP (Business Head – Govt. Business), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd; and Shri Raghavendra Singh, President (Public Affairs and Govt. Business), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.

Hon’ble Chief Minister offered flowers to the Holy Trio and went round the new facility. A short public meeting was arranged on this occasion at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium in the Sevashrama campus.

Swami Suprakashananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Vrindavan, delivered Welcome Address.

Swami Kalikrishnananda, Assistant Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Vrindavan, gave a brief description of the hospital and the new facility.

Swami Tattwavidananda ji spoke about the service activities of Ramakrishna Mission.

Swami Suvirananda ji, General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, addressed the gathering via video-conferencing.

Shri Yogi Adityanath ji spoke on the new facilities of the Sevashrama hospital, how helpful it will be for the poor people, and on how Ramakrishna Mission is working for the people.

Swami Devatananda, Treasurer, Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Vrindavan, delivered the Vote of Thanks.
