Maternity & Child Welfare Service: Haflong, June–July 2025

Ramakrishna Mission, Haflong, Assam

The “Maternity & Child Welfare Service” Project, initiated by the Ramakrishna Mission, Haflong, is being conducted under the CSR initiative of Infosys Foundation, with guidance from the Belur Math Headquarters. As part of this initiative, three camps have been organized: at Mahadev Tila on 6th June 2025, Lower Haflong on 15th June 2025, and Gunjung-Thana Lamra on 3rd July 2025.

These camps aim to raise awareness about maternal and child healthcare among underprivileged families. Following informative sessions, free nutritious food items, medicines, and essential health and hygiene supplies were distributed to 94 selected families.

Renowned medical professionals—Dr. Ajoy Kr. Paul, Dr. Sandip Nath, and Dr. Dipali Barman—led the health awareness sessions, highlighting the importance of prenatal care, balanced nutrition, and early childhood well-being. The interactive discussions allowed mothers to address their queries and receive personalized guidance from the experts.
