To commemorate the Golden Jubilee Year of the Shri Ramakrishna Deva Temple, the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Ashrama, Raipur, organized a spiritually enriching retreat on 01 March 2026. The programme was held in the Vivekananda Satsang Bhavan and served as a significant milestone in the temple’s historic celebration.
Programme Highlights
The half-day event, conducted from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., featured a diverse range of devotional and intellectual activities designed to inspire the attendees:
- Inauguration: The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp and auspicious Vedic chanting.
- Spiritual Practices: Participants engaged in the recitation of the 108 names of Sri Ramakrishna, followed by guided meditation and devotional singing (bhajans).
- Interactive Sessions: A dedicated Question & Answer session provided devotees with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of spiritual topics.
Distinguished Discourses
The retreat was enriched by profound discourses from revered Swamis:
- Swami Devabhavananda: Delivered a lecture on the Kathopanishad.
- Revered Swami Nityajnananandaji: Spoke on the life and teachings of Sanghajanani Maa Sarada Devi.
- Revered Swami Vyaptanandaji: Focused his discourse on the life and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna Deva.
Participation
The event saw an enthusiastic turnout of approximately 250 devotees. Following the conclusion of the formal programme, cooked Prasad was served to all participants.
