Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, Morabadi, Ranchi, successfully organized a grand Youth Convention in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Jharkhand, on 6 November 2025.
The event was held at Dabadih village in the Sonahatu block of Ranchi district and saw the enthusiastic participation of approximately 350 young people.
The convention commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony and a devotional song presented by the children of Saraswati Shishu Mandir, followed by a welcome song performed by the girls of Kasturba Gandhi Residential School.
Key Address:
- Swami Bhaveshananda, Secretary of the Ashram, delivered a special address to the youth on the subject “Gadhon Naya Bharat” (Build a New India). He explained the meaning of Swami Vivekananda’s message, “Be and Make”, and elaborated on the nature of education: School Education, Craftsmanship Education, and Moral Education.
Other Activities:
- The program included cultural performances and inspiring speeches delivered by other monastic members and Brahmacharis present.
- Yoga Guru Pritam Banik emphasized the role and importance of yoga for health.
- Yoga trainee Kishore Manjhi led the youth through practical yoga exercises.
The convention concluded with a collective discussion among the youth and the leadership regarding the problems faced by the village and their potential solutions. The program stage was managed by Shri Kulapati Karji. The success of this event was attributed to the special contributions of the workers from Vivekananda Seva Sangh, members of Sharda Mahila Sangh, and staff and well-wishers from the Ashram.
