125th Anniversary Celebration of Advaita Ashrama, Mayavati, 2024


Advaita Ashrama at Mayavati, Uttarakhand, was founded by Swami Vivekananda in 1899. This year, in 2024, it has completed its 125 glorious years of silent service to humanity. To celebrate this significant milestone, special programmes were organised on 31 March and 1 April 2024. 

The Governor of Uttarakhand, Lt. Gen. Sri Gurmit Singh was the Chief Guest on 31 March, and Swami Atmapriyananda was the Guest of Honour; Swami Muktidananda also addressed the gathering. 

On 1 April a Youth Convention was organised, in which around 220 students participated. Sri Sharad Vivek Sagar, CEO, Dexterity Global; and Swami Atmashraddhananda, addressed the students.

There were also four sessions of “Advaita Chintan” in which Swami Atmapriyananda, Swami Tattwamayananda, Swami Atmashraddhananda, and Swami Gunottarananda spoke on Advaita Vedanta.
