On the occasion of the 125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission, a public meeting was organized by Vivekananda Ashrama, Shyamla Tal (Uttarakhand) on 30 May 2023.
The following speakers spoke about Swamiji’s Ideas and Ideals :
- Swami Sarvalokanandaji Maharaj, Secretory RKM New-Delhi.
- Swami Vishwatmananda ji Maharaj, Adhyaksha Advaita Ashrama, Varanasi.
- Sri Bipin Kumar, Chairman- Tanakpur, Municipality.
- Sri R.C .Purohit- Chief Education Officer, Champawat.
About 300 students from different schools and colleges and 150 devotees and well-wishers participated.
The Shyamla Tal ashrama also took part in the Vivekananda Circuit Parikrama, organized by Ramakrishna Kutir, Almora. Under this programme 36 Monks, 70 devotees, volunteers and drivers visited the places in Uttarakhand where Swamiji and his brother disciples visited years back. The team visted the Brahma Dev Temple, a very old Shiva Temple situated at Nepal very near to India-Nepal Border.
