The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) CSR wing, in collaboration with Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Morabadi, Ranchi, organized a grand Annual Sports Competition on 17th March 2026. The event saw the enthusiastic participation of approximately 250 boys and girls from seven Akhandananda Shiksha evam Sanskar Kendras (ASSK). The competition included various events such as 100m and 200m sprints, Yoga, and Kabaddi, tailored for students ranging from Class 0 to Class 8.
Chief Guest Shri Ujjwal Bhaskar (Chief of Communication, SAIL CSR) commended the children’s energy and sportsmanship, emphasizing that such events foster discipline and confidence. He encouraged the students to adopt Swami Vivekananda’s values of selflessness and service. Other dignitaries, including Shri Shailesh Bharti (GM, HR, SAIL), expressed their appreciation for the long-standing community work of the Ramakrishna Mission and hoped for the continued success of such developmental initiatives.
Swami Bhaveshananda, Secretary of the Ranchi Ashrama, addressed the gathering, highlighting that sports are vital not only for physical strength but also for mental growth. The program concluded with the distribution of shields, yoga mats, medals, and T-shirts to the winners, while all participants received T-shirts as a gesture of encouragement. The event was a significant step toward the holistic development of rural and tribal youth in the region.
