Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: Chandigarh


Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Chandigarh conducted an Essay Contest and Symposium on “Swami Vivekananda and Indian Freedom Movement” on 7 August 2022, as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.  Sri Chandrasekhar Talwar IAS (Retd.), Secretary, Red Cross Society Punjab was the Chief Guest for the function. He handed over the Prizes. 15 students and 4 guests spoke on the influence of Swami Vivekananda on the Indian Freedom Movement. Swami Anupamananda presided over the function.  75 students from different colleges in Chandigarh participated in the contest and won 15 prizes.  All the contestants were given participation certificates and books on Swami Vivekananda.

Vedic Chanting, reciting of  “Swadesh Mantra”, patriotic songs and singing of the National Anthem were part of the programme.  About 175 students, youth, admirers, and devotees attended the program.
