A Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organised on Friday, 21 August 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Pvt. ITI, Asansol Campus, in collaboration with the District Hospital, Asansol. A total of 74 participants — including students of the ITI, monks, and brahmacharis — donated blood on the occasion.
The camp was jointly inaugurated by Sri Surajit Mishra, Director-in-Charge, ISP & DSP; Sri Ponnambalam S., IAS, District Magistrate; and Sri Krishnendu Mukherjee, MLA, Asansol North, along with other dignitaries present.
Among those who graced the programme were Dr. Pranav Kumar, IPS, Commissioner of Police; Sri Jitendra Kumar, Executive Director (HR), SAIL-ISP, Burnpur; Sri Tapas Banerjee, Ex-MLA; Advocate Tapan Kumar Chatterjee, President, RKMA Managing Committee; and Dr. Sanjit Chatterjee, In-charge, Blood Bank, District Hospital, Asansol.
