Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Mutthiganj, Prayagraj organized Vivekananda Speech and Bhajan Competition from 11 Aug to 8 Sep 2019 for class 6 to postgraduate level students. The purpose of the said competition is to develop Character building and Moral values based on Swami Vivekananda’s Man making & Character building education as well as to be good and ideal citizen of our country.
For class 6: Sanskrit, Hindi and English recitation Competition were organized. For class 7, 8: speech competition and Bhajan Competition were organized. For class 9 – 12 and Graduate – Post Graduate students: Speech Competition, Extempore Competition and Bhajan Competition were organized.
The topics of the Competition was related to the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
More than 600 students of twenty-five schools and twelve colleges participated in the competition.
Prize Distribution and the Closing function of 125th Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Addresses was organised at Vijnanananda Satsang Bhawan on 11 Sept 2019.
Prof. Rajaram Yadav, Vice-Chancellor and Veer Bahadur Singh Poorvanchal University, Jaunpur was the Chief Guest. Swami Akshayananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama, Prayagraj, presided over the function and Dr. Ram Prakash Singh, Head of Dept., Mathematics was the Chief Speaker of the programme.
The welcome address was given by Swami Karunananda. The literature of Swami Vivekananda and certificate were distributed to all winning participants.
More than 300 students and people attended the prize distribution programme and the Closing Ceremony of 125th Chicago address of Swami Vivekananda programme. At the end of programme vote of thanks was given by Swami Karunananda. Sri Jaydeep Ganguli, Lecturer, English Dept., Anglo Bengali Inter College conducted the programme.
