Concluding Centenary Celebrations of Ramakrishna Mission, Sohra, September 2025

Ramakrishna Mission, Sohra was blessed by the sacred visit of Most Revered Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, President, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, who arrived on 11 September 2025 and inaugurated the three-day Concluding Centenary Celebrations on 12 September 2025 by delivering a benedictory address.

On 13 September at around 11 am, Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj unveiled an 11-foot high statue of Swamiji (made of fiberglass) standing on a matching stone platform in the campus of the newly started Ramakrishna Mission College Sohra, Nongthymmai locality, Mawsmai Elaka of Sohra town.

On the same day at around 4:30 pm, Revered Maharaj installed new pictures of the Holy Trinity in a newly decorated pedestal in the renovated old shrine at Shella temple.

On 14 September, Revered Maharaj released the Khasi Translation of “Kathamritam” and felicitated the translator and editorial team during a public meeting. A concise CD containing highlights from different activities conducted by Sohra Ashrama during the financial year was also released on this occasion.

Additionally, on 13 September, the DDG, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, released the Centenary Souvenir during a meet organized by the alumni of all Ramakrishna Mission Schools. A video compilation of interviews with ex-students and a Coffee Table Book was also released by various dignitaries.
