Koyilandy: COVID-19 Pandemic Relief Services

Ramakrishna Math, Koyilandy, Kerala, in the 2nd phase of relief services to affected people due to lockdown for COVID-19 pandemic, has distributed dry ration kits to 1088 families of 14 Colonies in the Kozhikode district, from 11 to 14 May 2020.

In the wake of lockdown owing to COVID-19 pandemic, Ramakrishna Math, Koyilandy, Kerala, is continuing the relief services.

On 1 May 2020, the Koyilandy ashrama distributed grocery kits to 75 needy Muslim families of Varakunnu colony of Kozhikode district. Each kit contains 4kg of Atta, 2kg of Suji and 1kg of Sugar.

The ashrama has served 194 families in Kavumvattam, Virunnukandy villages  under the Kozhikode district on 17 and 18 April, 2020. The kits included  Rice 582kg, Chana dal 388kg, Sugar 194kg, Rava 291kg and Wheat Flour 388kg.

As a part of COVID 19 relief operations,  the ashrama took up 4 villages viz.  Poyilkavu, Melur, Elattery and Payattuvalappil from Kozhikode district and  distributed ration kits to  356 families, from 12 to 16 April 2020. In total the ashrama distributed  Rice 1068 kg,  Chana Dal 712kg, Sugar 356kg, Wheat Flour 712kg and Rava 534kg.



The Ashrama provided groceries to 40 families from 3 villages on 31 March 2020.

Food Kits containing food ration for one month which included commodities for 3 meals (breakfast,  lunch and dinner) a day, were distributed the Ashrama among  57 Gadadhar Abhyudaya Prakalpa students and teachers. The total food items distributed are Rice- 560 kg, Channa dal 170kg, Sugar- 85 kg, Atta- 110kg, Rava- 85kg, Horlicks- 57 bottles, Moong Dal- 162kg, Turmeric powder- 10kg, Chilli powder 20kg, coconut oil- 60 litres, Sunflower oil 60 liters. Entire grocery items are sponsored by GLOBSYN CRYSTALS group, Kolkata.
