Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Ashrama organized speech, debate, impromptu speech, and recitation competitions on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda as part of its Annual Function. The competitions were held from 14 to 22 January 2026 at college, junior college, intermediate school, and inter-school levels.
A total of 143 students (68 boys and 75 girls) from 21 educational institutions in Raipur participated with enthusiasm.
Prizes were given as follows: First Prize – ₹1500, Second Prize – ₹1100, Third Prize – ₹700, along with two incentive awards of ₹500 each in every competition. In all, 54 students received prizes, booklets on Swami Vivekananda, certificates, and snacks.
Smt. Meenal Chaubey, Hon’ble Mayor of Raipur, was the Chief Guest. Dr. Omprakash Verma, Secretary, Vivekananda Vidyapith, Kota, Raipur, addressed the gathering and spoke on the idea of “Dreamt Bharat” envisioned by Swami Vivekananda. Swami Sevavratananda Ji, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Bilaspur, presided over the programme.
At the end of the function, snacks and the booklet Vivekananda Ki Vani were distributed to all attendees.
