Ramakrishna Mission, Imphal is continuing the distress relief in Manipur. From 1st September to 27th September, 2023, the Imphal ashrama extended support to 5 relief camps, sheltering more than 944 people (including 389 minors) from 316 families, in 2 districts of Manipur — Imphal West and Bishnupur. The Imphal ashrama distributed groceries, hygiene kits and blankets to the camp inmates.
In one of the relief camps, designated for displaced students, the Imphal ashrama provided educational material, nutritional food items and sports items. In another camp, at Lapupat Tera located in a very remote area, on earnest request from the inmates the Imphal ashrama provided them with 2 weaving looms as collective livelihood support.
