To mark the auspicious occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s 164th Birth Anniversary, Ramakrishna Mission, Thirumukkudal, conducted a comprehensive welfare distribution drive on 10 January 2026. The initiative focused on supporting 130 families of individuals with intellectual disabilities, providing them with essential food and hygiene kits.
Provisions distributed to 130 families included:
- Grains & Pulses: 650 kg of Rice (5 kg per family), 130 kg of Toor Dal (1 kg per family), and 65 kg of Masoor Dal (0.5 kg per family).
- Cooking Essentials: 65 liters of Gingelly Oil, 130 packets of Salt, and 52 kg of assorted spice powders (Sambar, Rasam, Dhania, and Chilli).
- Hygiene Supplies: 130 sets of bathing and washing soaps.
Additionally, the Mission extended its support to the youth and the community by distributing school bags to 54 children and providing mosquito nets to three families in urgent need.
