2. Service During Yugal Parikrama (November 2, 2025)

On the auspicious day of Yugal Parikrama, lakhs of devotees performed the sacred circumambulation (parikrama) around Vrindavan and Mathura. The Ramakrishna Mission Sevashrama provided extensive relief and refreshment services to the pilgrims from its Old Ashrama, conveniently situated directly on the Parikrama Marg.

The services rendered to the devotees were multi-faceted:

  • Mass Refreshment: Batasa (a traditional sweetmeat) and clean water were served to more than 20,000 devotees throughout the day to help them cope with the exertion of the long walk.
  • Meal Distribution: A cooked meal of Khichuri was distributed to approximately 1,500 devotees.
  • Medical Assistance: Free medical services were provided to the needy among the pilgrims. This included the distribution of free medicines and essential on-the-spot care such as the dressing of wounds (primarily related to foot and leg injuries sustained during the walk).
