Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Taki, successfully executed the distress relief program conducted before Durga Puja in September 2025, serving poor and needy families across the Sunderban, Taki, and Hasnabad regions. The program provided dignity and comfort by distributing a total of 3,640 garments across 32 locations in North and South 24 Parganas districts of West Bengal.
Garment Distribution Statistics (Total: 3,640 Items)
The distribution comprised a total of 3,640 garments for men, women, and children. The specific quantities distributed were: 2,514 Sarees, 300 Lungis, 242 Dhotis, 200 Uttariyas (Shawls), and 384 Children’s garments. These items were provided to vulnerable families in preparation for the festive season.
Service Locations (32 Villages/Locations)
Distribution was carried out in 32 identified locations:
North 24 Parganas (28 Locations)
Hingalganj Block (16 Villages/Locations): The villages covered were DulDuli Math Bari, Sahibkhali, Choto Sahibkhali, Kanaikati, Jogeshganj, Hemnagar, Patghara, Samser Nagar, Malakenghumti, Uttar Malekanghumti, Kalitala (Hinjalganj), Bhandarkhali, Parghumti Adibasi Para, Kothabari, Mamudpur, and Sandelbil.
Hasnabad Block (6 Villages/Locations): Locations included Barunhat, Hasnabad, Taki & Hasnabad, Hularchack, Ghuni Gherirpar, and Sulkuni.
Sandeshkhali Blocks (4 Villages/Locations): The area covered Dwarirjungle (Sandeshkhali II), Nazat (Sandeshkhali I), Ghoshpur (Sandeshkhali), and Dhuchnikhali (Sandeskhali II).
Other Blocks/Areas (2 Villages/Locations): Distribution was also done in Bamanpukur (Minakha Block) and Dakshin Bishpur.
South 24 Parganas (4 Locations)
Basanti Block (2 Villages/Locations): The villages served were Basanti and Ranigar Jyotishpur.
Other Blocks (2 Villages/Locations): The final locations were Pathankhali (Gosaba Block) and Ganti (Canning II Block).
