During the recent Durga Puja celebrations, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Sribhumi, held a Saree Distribution Programme to serve the distressed.
The centre distributed a total of 1,885 saris and 75 dhotis. The central effort saw 1,011 mothers personally served at the ashrama premises, which included 611 widowed mothers who received saris, bed sheets, and food packets. Additional distributions reached families in nearby areas, including Jalalnagar Tea Estate, Badarpur, Sri Gouri, Hailakandi, Keshar Kapan, and Dharokauna.
The entire program was carried out with due reverence, reflecting the ideal of selfless service.
