A Free Eye Check-up and Cataract Surgery Camp was organised by Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Jalpaiguri, on 14th June 2026, in collaboration with Siliguri Greater Lions Eye Hospital.
A team of doctors and paramedical staff examined 29 patients. Of these, 8 patients were provided spectacles, and 10 patients underwent cataract surgery. All services rendered — consultation, medicines and spectacles — were offered free of cost.
The camp was conducted with the active participation of the Ashrama’s monastics, volunteers and staff. Patients were served tea and snacks, followed by cooked Prasad at the conclusion of the camp.
