Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Ranchi-Morabadi, in collaboration with Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Ranchi, organised a five-day residential Goat Rearing Training Programme for rural farmers. A total of 20 farmers from 5 blocks and 15 villages participated in the programme.
The programme was inaugurated through the lighting of the lamp by Swami Bhaveshananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Ranchi-Morabadi, and Sri Ujjwal Bhaskar, General Manager (Public Relations), SAIL, Ranchi. Swami Bhaktishananda also addressed and encouraged the participants. Sri Ujjwal Bhaskar highlighted SAIL’s commitment to rural development under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, noting that goat rearing is an effective means of supplementing farmers’ incomes at minimal cost.
During the five days, experts in agriculture and animal husbandry conducted sessions on modern goat rearing techniques, breed improvement, scientific care, shed construction, feed management, and disease prevention and vaccination.
Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Sri O. P. Dubey, Sri Vikas Kumar Mahato, Sri Sanjay Dinda, Sri Jitendra Kumar Mahato, Sri Ghanshyam Oraon, Sri Pradeep Mahato, and officers and staff of the Ashrama were also present on the occasion.
