Flood Relief at Yavatmal District, Maharashtra : Mumbai, August 2023

Ramakrishna Mission, Mumbai

Ramakrishna Mission, Mumbai, conducted flood relief at Yavatmal district of Maharashtra. After a preliminary survey of the flood affected areas, the Mumbai centre distributed grocery kits to 233 families, utensils to 100 families, bedding materials to 60 families, who are affected by the flood. The relief services were conducted at 6 places of Yavatmal district — Lohara (Shivaji Nagar, Renuka Nagar), Lasina, Chinchbardi, Kapra and Yavatmal, from 5 to 7 August 2023.

Each grocery kits contained the following :

Moong Dal 2Kg, Moth Whole 1 Kg, Salt 1 Kg, Sugar 2Kg, Oil 1Ltr, Tea 250 gms, Milk Powder 500 gms, Chilly, Turmeric, Coriander, Spices powder 100 gm each, Bath and Laundry Soaps 1 Bar each, 1 Toothpaste and 1 Hair Oil bottle, 2 kg Potato and 2 Kg Onion.

Each utensil kits contained the following :

4 (13″) Dining plate, 1 (600ml) Mug, 2 (300ml) tumblers, 2 (13″& 14″) cooking pots, 1 saucepan, 1 (12″) kadhai, 2 Serving Spoons, 1 (18L) Plastic Bucket and 1 Plastic Mug.

Each bedding kits contained the following :

2 12’x15′ Tarp, 2 4’x6′ Mats, 2 5’x7′ Bedsheets
