Ramakrishna Mission, Dibrugarh conducted a two-phase flood relief operation in the flood-affected villages of Sivasagar and Charaideo districts of Assam, extending humanitarian assistance to over a thousand families rendered vulnerable by the seasonal inundation.
Phase I — Ration Kit Distribution (22 July – 29 July 2026)
A survey of flood-affected areas was conducted on 22 July 2026, during which tokens were distributed to approximately 1,000 affected families to facilitate the subsequent relief distribution. Volunteers from Ramakrishna Mission, Dibrugarh and Ramakrishna Mission, Digboi participated in the survey alongside devotees from Dhemaji, led by Dr. Baluram Mili.
Relief distribution commenced at Nazira on 27 July 2026 and continued at Sivasagar on 28 July 2026. The operation was completed by 29 July 2026, with 1,005 families receiving dry ration kits containing the following items:

Volunteers from Ramakrishna Mission, Dibrugarh and Ramakrishna Mission, Digboi, together with the devotees from Dhemaji, were present throughout the distribution process.
Phase II — Roofing Material Distribution (30–31 August 2026)
The second phase of relief operations was conducted on 30–31 August 2026, focusing on the rehabilitation of families whose homes had sustained structural damage due to flooding. 100 families received corrugated GI sheets to assist in rebuilding their dwellings, with distribution across the two affected districts as follows:

Each family received 12 corrugated GI sheets (dimensions: 12 ft. × 2.5 ft. × 0.4 mm thickness) as a one-time support measure towards the restoration of their homes.
The flood relief operations of Ramakrishna Mission, Dibrugarh in Sivasagar and Charaideo districts were successfully concluded on 31 August 2026.
