In response to the severe flooding caused by heavy rainfall across Odisha, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Kothar undertook flood relief operations on 30 and 31 July 2026, distributing cooked food to distressed families in flood-affected villages in the surrounding area.
Cooked meals comprising boiling rice and Dalma were prepared and distributed to the affected population across two panchayats over the two-day relief effort. The details of the distribution are as follows:
